REACHING OUT
He answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and “Love your neighbor as yourself”
– Luke 10:27
Faith Ministries Outreach is a Ministry of Love, Acceptance, Help, Hope, Reflection, Forgiveness, Guidance, Encouragement, and Respect. This vision was created by our congregation to express its community and world outreach responsibility through relationships and funding both globally and locally.
Love Chapel
Our ministry of love on the local level takes on many forms. Faith Ministries provides hot meals through the Ecumenical Assembly and the Salvation Army. Our members also serve the homeless through our Faith Ministries initiatives supplying food, shelter, tents, blankets, hygiene kits and any other needs that arise. Our responsibility is to REACH OUT wherever and however we can.
Soap Ministry
Many who need help and support through the local food bank often have limited funds and must choose between food and laundry detergent. This is what Sister Rose Hamlin, the founder of the Soap Ministry, saw each day she volunteered at the local Food Bank. To address this need, the Faith Ministries Soap Ministry was born. We provide a drum of donated laundry per quarter.
Faith Ministry Garden
Our commitment to health and wellness includes our garden. Volunteers donate their time to work the garden and harvest the crops for the congregation. Our temples need health and strength to serve God. “Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds. And it was so.”
~Genesis 1:11
More Opportunities!
Faith Ministries is involved in many more opportunities to serve. Some include our Greentree Assisted Living outreach where we have bible study and devotions each Friday. Also on 1st and 3rd, we fellowship with our senior community with Sunday worship services. We are concerned about our environment and are doing our part in making it a healthy place for our children and grandchildren. Our members participate in keeping State Road 46 litter and debris free. Health and Wellness is not only for our congregation but our community host Dining with Diabetes Workshops in partnership with Purdue Extension Service where we offer scholarships to make sure anyone who wants to attend can.
